Draft document

DRAFT — Not final legal advice. Formal review is tracked in WC-LEGAL-0001 before Public Beta.

Refund Policy

Draft refund outline for the annual Pro plan. Subject to WC-LEGAL-0001 review.

Updated 2026-08-16

Billing authority

Stripe is the payment processor. Plan price is fixed server-side; the Landing display amount is not a client-submitted checkout amount. Returning from Checkout does not activate Pro — Stripe webhooks and reconciliation do.

Cancellation

Canceling stops auto-renewal. Entitlement continues through the end of the paid period unless a refund or termination policy says otherwise after legal review.

Refunds and safety restore

Refunds or termination trigger a safety restore of active sessions. User data is not deleted solely because of a refund. Restricted, unpaid, or refunded accounts still can Restore, Revoke, Export, and Delete.

Refund window (DRAFT)

No statutory cooling-off window is claimed as final in this draft. Alpha is invite-only and public Live Checkout stays closed until a human billing and legal Gate. Counsel must set the customer-facing refund window and Stripe Dashboard legal URLs before public paid Beta. Until then, treat refund timing as case-by-case and documented by support, not as an advertised guarantee.

Retention after refund

A refund does not start account deletion. If you later Delete Account, the 7-day cancelable window and anonymize-not-wipe rules in the Privacy Policy still apply. Billing references may be retained as required for tax, dispute, or legal hold.
